holding it together

last night at a little after midnight i gaot a call from nicole with an emergency and she needed to contact denise as soon as possible, but denise wasnt answering the phone. i tried to call denise and then mika, but neither of them were answering the phone. so i finally called nate. he was off campus and couldnt get in touch with denise either, but he told me that he would try to talk to some people who might be able to. i waited up with nicole all the while trying to talk to denise, and i finally collapsed into bed at about 3:30. this morning i called nicole as soon as i woke up, and she said that she had spoken with denise, and then i called denise. the emergency has calmed down though it isnt completely resolved. after talking to denise i called some people who i thought should know that their family needed a little extra hugs or presents. now im left to my own devices and trying to hold myself together. though the emergeny doesnt directly effect me, it does directly effect people that i love, so im trying to keep myself calm. that was my night, and im sure that will be the rest of my weekend.
