spring break

OMG spring break was so much fun!! i slept a lot, and got to see family and friends and laugh a lot, and lots of fun things.

On Sunday my parents had their annual St. Patrick's Day party, cuz thats the day they met, so all of their friends came over to our house and ate food and drank beer and it was really fun. i got to see people that i havent seen in a very long time. A little anecdote from that party is: Donna and Jim have known me all my life, Donna used to work with my mom. anyway, so they come over and Jim walks up to me and says he has something to show me. so he pulls a magnet out of his pocket and its a picture of me as a kid (like 3 or 4) and it says "i love you" on it. Apparently it has been on their refridgerator since i was that old. how cute is that??

On monday i had a dentist appointment at 9 AM, and i was really nervous about that, but it turned out that my teeth are fine and i was freaking out for no reason.

Not a lot happened again until thursday when my mom played hookey from work cuz we wanted to go to the spy museum in DC. on the way i ran into Harry at the Metro station and we talked for a little while. his hair is crazy out of control. it looks like theres a poodle on his head. Turns out the spy museum sold out of tickets sometime in the Harding administration, so me and mom went over to the east wing to see some art, and we saw the posters from the Moulin Rouge, and the Chat Noir painting that all yuppies have a copy of over thier couch.

that night i got a call from a guy who i have known for a very long time, and who has always had a crush on me. he has been really depressed since his girlfriend left him for his best friend (wouldnt you be?) and he called me up to see if i was free the next day. i didnt have the heart to say no, so we went to lunch and then a movie. it was the most awkward thing i think i have ever done, but the movie was good. i hope i helped him a little, its sad to think hes sad.

This past Sunday i dressed to the nines, and went to Easter Service. it was nice, and i looked great, so ill call that a good thing. then when we got home the Easter Bunny had stopped by, and i got (along with Massive amounts of candy) a scarf that is a map of London!! i was really excited. then we went to Aunt Nora's house for Easter dinner, and it was really fun. we all ate too much and laughed a lot.

once things died down at Nora's we sat down and watched "the Mummy returns" on the big screen and i was grossed out by all the bugs.

it was a great break, and im bummed to be back on campus. except that there are cool people here as well, so ... i dunno.

Good times, good times.
